The NSW Government is committed to supporting the recovery and survival of farming communities impacted by the ongoing severe weather and ongoing flooding of large areas of the NSW coast.
Primary Producer Special Disaster Grants
The NSW and Australian Governments have announced Special Disaster Grants (SDG) of up to $75,000 for primary producers who have been impacted by the floods in NSW.
The availability of this grant ensures primary producers can readily access financial support as soon as it is required.
Approved applicants can access a $15,000 up-front payment to assist with the immediate clean-up and recovery costs, and if needed, a further $60,000 to repair more extensive damage to properties.
The Special Disaster Grants of up to $75,000 for eligible primary producers are designed to help pay for immediate clean-up and repairs to infrastructure.
Primary producers are encouraged not to self-assess and should consult with their local Rural Financial Counselling Service (see contact details below) or apply for the scheme so that the RAA can determine eligibility.
Please visit RAA's Special Disaster Grant to access the program guidelines for more information on payment eligibility and detail on how to apply.
